INVESTIGATIONS:
- only trophozoites can be found in the stool of which 80%
are binucleated with no peripheral chromatin.
- also contain leukocytes and occasionally Charcot-Leyden
crystals
MANAGEMENT:
- oral rehydration fluid (ORF) or intravenous rehydration
